Ginger Sue Steele, 70, of Royse City, Texas, passed from this life on December 23, 2021. Sue was born to Franklin Delano Roosevelt Thompson and Virginia Mary (Horton) Thompson, in Bakersfield, California, on September 6, 1951. She was a faithful member and the Pastor’s wife at the United Pentecostal Church of Rockwall.
Sue’s life revolved around family and God. She loved playing the accordion, piano, and organ, especially in church. She loved the ministry and gave over thirty-six years in full-time ministry for her God, her husband, and her church. She may not ever get her story in Reader’s Digest but for a lot of people, she will be a most unforgotten person.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul Steele; children: Leah Steele, David Steele and wife Rachel, Jonathan Steele and wife Kristi, and Chanda Steele; grandchildren: Justin Steele, Dustin Steele, Nathan Steele and wife Megan, Sarah Steele, Seth Steele, Julia Steele, Klara Steele, Calvin Steele, Blake Steele, McKinzy Steele, Dalton Steele and wife Krysta, Katlynn Steele; her mother: Virginia Mary Thompson, and her siblings: Eddie Thompson, Connie Pritchard, Wesley Thompson, Marlin Thompson, and Jeffery Thompson. As well as a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her son: Eric Steele; granddaughter: Bethany Steele; and father: Frank Thompson.
Services to celebrate Sue Steele are to be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, beginning at 12:00 PM at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church at 1200 Poplar Dr., Mesquite, Texas 75149. Visitation will take place the evening before on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the United Pentecostal Church of Rockwall, at 4672 Interstate 30, Fate, Texas. Burial will be, Friday, December 31, 2021, at 1:00 PM, at the Middleton Ranch family cemetery, at 1498 Middleton Rd, Spicewood, Texas 78669.
