Roland Christopher “Chris” Mumaw, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on November 11, 2021. Chris was born on June 4, 1966, in Dallas, TX to Mary Evelyn (Wilson) Mumaw and the late Keith Ray Mumaw. He was with Atmos Energy for over twenty years before beginning his career in Logistics. Chris was currently employed as a Logistics Manager with Communications Test Design Inc., in Lancaster, Texas.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 21 years and best friend, Sabrina Richey Mumaw, and two sons whom he considered his greatest gifts, Max and Landon, all of Rockwall, TX. Above all, his most joyous of days were those spent with his family.
Chris had many passions. He loved to cook, be it in the kitchen or outside on his grill. His chef-like skills were just amazing! He loved the outdoors and could never fish or hunt enough! A favorite pastime was spending time in Emory, Texas with his dear friend, helping with farm needs and ending his day by fishing off the dock.
Chris is also survived by three siblings: Teressa Blackman (Mark) of The Woodlands, TX, Troi Hodge (Glenn) of Lewisville, TX and Keith Mumaw, Jr. (Marti) of Trenton, TX; his Aunt Katherine Mumaw Nally; brother-in-law Damon Richey; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in North Hopkins Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
