Robert “Scott” Steger, age 62, resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away on November 5, 2021, unexpectedly. He was born February 12, 1959, in Dallas, TX, to Robert and Carolyn Steger. Scott grew up in Irving, TX, and graduated from Macarthur High School. He married his wife, Angela in July of 2015. As a long-time manager at Home Depot and Best Buy, he pulled pranks, kept them laughing, guided and mentored them to be their best. He loved spending time with his family cracking jokes and playing Wahoo. He loved driving in his corvette and playing slots in his free time. His smile, laughter, and infectious personality will be deeply missed.
Scott is survived by his loving wife: Angela Steger; Sons: Colton McClain, Jeremy Varnell, and Josh Steger; Daughters: Baylee McClain and Johanna Steger; Granddaughter: Katy Varnell; Mother: Carolyn Sue Hylton; Father: Robert A. Steger and wife Betty; Brother: Gary Steger and wife Kathy; Nephews: Richard Steger and wife Terra, Robert Steger and wife Lyndsey; Great nieces: Cheyanne and Regan and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: J.D. Wise and Ruth Appleby.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
