Michael Patrick Rose passed away on November 5, 2021, at a memory care facility in Conroe, Texas. He was born August 6, 1945, to Harry William Rose and Helen Francis (Clements) Rose in Peoria, IL.
He attended Indiana Tech in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. After Indiana Tech he was employed by Caterpillar and after several moves settled in Houston, Texas where he retired in 2001, after 35 years of service.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 52 years: Kathy (Morrissey) Rose; sons: Tim Rose and wife Stacy of Heath, Texas, Greg Rose and wife Heather of Houston, Texas, and Kevin Rose of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren: Elizabeth Rose and Matthew Rose; brother: Bill Rose of Florida; and sister: Christe Kislia of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom Rose.
Mike enjoyed many interests such as racing cars, sail boating, building and flying RC airplanes, and playing the piano. He could fix anything and with his gift for problem-solving, he created a computer program for Caterpillar marine engines. Mike always had a smile and never met a stranger.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Rd, Rockwall, TX 75087 with Father Sean Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any charitable donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
Funeral mass will be held 11:00am on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Rd, Rockwall, TX 75087 with Father Sean Martin officiating.
