Viola Mae Engsberg, 92, of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on October 4, 2021. Viola was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Elmer Manthie and Leona (Hillman) Manthie, on February 24, 1929. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mesquite, Texas.
Vie always had in infectious smile and a positive attitude. She loved getting and giving hugs and shared her love for family and friends through baking. She enjoyed excursions to the casino where good fortune always seemed to follow! Many were blessed to know such a special, amazing lady. She will be forever in our hearts.
Viola is survived by her children: Steve Engsberg and Ferne, Brad Engsberg and Kim, Connie Skyles and Chuck, Sheri Engsberg and Frank; grandchildren: Val Engsberg, Joyce Engsberg, Danny Engsberg, Brenda Hyatt and Richard, Erik Skyles, Cierra Martinez; great-grandchildren: Evan Hoffman, Cade Hyatt, Landon Hyatt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss her dearly. Viola was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Engsberg; parents: Elmer and Leona Manthie; and brothers: Norman Manthie and Tom Manthie; along with many other family and friends who preceded Viola in passing.
