Larry Gene Felts, age 76, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on October 27, 2021. He was born July 18, 1945, in Odessa, TX, to Clinton Felts and Shirley Inez (Mabry) Felts. Larry grew up in Odessa, TX, and later became a long-time resident of Dallas. He met his wife, Virginia in 1974 at a YMCA dance. After his retirement as an animal technician at UT Southwestern, he relocated to Rockwall. He was a very caring man who conquered many challenges. Larry knew many people within the community. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall. Larry loved trucks, and he liked to collect tools, pocket knives, and clocks. He will be deeply missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife: Virginia Felts; sister: Robin Felts; sister-in-law: Jean Gustafson; and numerous loving nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, November 5, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.
