Guadalupe Mendez Sosa, age 74 of Garland, TX, passed away October 2, 2021. She was born October 24, 1946, in Mexico to Tomas Sosa Sifuentes and Maria De Jesus Mendez. Guadalupe was a Christian woman who loved and served the Lord. She had a kind heart and was always ready and willing to help others. She and her sister Herminia were inseparable all their lives, and Guadalupe became like a second mother to her nieces and nephews. She was always around the family and was dearly loved by them all. She loved nature and enjoyed traveling, camping and going out with family for a good time.
Guadalupe is survived by her loving sister: Herminia Contreras; nieces and nephews: Dagoberto Contreras, Dia Ruiz and husband Luis, Manuela Dominguez and husband Alejandro, Daniel Contreras; great nieces and nephews: Roxanne Halcomb and husband Trevor, Anthony Quinones, Alex Dominguez, Andrew Dominguez and wife Genesis, Richard Contreras, Daniel Contreras, Guilliano Contreras, Eliazar Sosa, Anna Contreras; great great nieces and nephews: Logan, Maddox, Gemma, Richard Jr., and Keilani. She was preceded in death by her parents, great nephew Isaac Ruiz, and brother Delfino Sosa.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday, October 11, 2021, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett with Alejandro Dominguez officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will gather with friends for visitation before the service beginning at 8:30 am.
