James Lee Otis, Jr., age 48 of Royse City, TX, passed away on September 29, 2021. He was born May 25, 1973, in Dallas, TX, to James Lee Otis Sr., and Gloria (Reed) Otis. James was an electrician by trade, and while he loved working as an electrician, he really loved to tinker and invent things. He was very kind and loved his family, especially the children, and always had a positive outlook and a smile on his face.
James is survived by his parents: James and Gloria Otis of Royse City, TX; daughters: Cameo Williams, Aryanna Otis, Allyson Otis, and Brooklyn Otis; step-children: Desmond Mapps, Marquetta Mapps, Charity Mapps, Laticia Mapps, Jamal Pryor, and Jameek Pryor; granddaughter: Savira Perkins; sisters: Ingrid Otis of Fate, TX, and Elvira Otis-Day of Ceder Hill, TX; brother: Ditannon Otis and wife Atlin of Panama City, FL; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Location with Pastor Frank Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
