Zara Sofia Montez, 2 months old, of Royse City, Texas, passed from this life on May 28, 2021. Zara was born to Vanessa (Munguia) Montez and Gabriel Lee Montez, on March 22, 2021, in Rowlett, Texas.

Zara was an angel, an angel sent to live among us for merely 9 weeks and then summoned back to heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Zara will be dearly missed by her big brothers Tomas and Noah and big sister Lucia, her mommy Vanessa and daddy Gabriel. In this life, we have known heartbreak, that which is able to be consoled, but the loss of a child carries an inconsolable heartbreak, one which no words or actions can provide comfort, for it is merely understood by those who have otherwise walked the path. The perfection of the Lord cannot be denied, nor understood completely here during our time on earth, for our time on earth is only a glitch of time in comparison to the eternal time of the heaven above. We now have an angel among us, around us, and within us, one who will greet us as a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, Zara Sofia Montez.
“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the lord!”

Zara is survived by her parents, Gabriel and Vanessa Montez; siblings: Tomas Montez, Noah Montez, and Lucia Montez; grandparents: Becky Montez, and Hortencia and Gonzalo Munguia; uncles: Justin Montez and wife Amy, Timmy Montez and wife Priscilla, Jose Munguia and wife Maria, Gonzalo Munguia and wife Sonia; aunts: Jenny Hurns and husband Johnny, and Erica Munguia-Espinosa and husband Roberto; cousins: Anthony Montez, Alyssa Montez, Gianna Hurns, Melanie Garza, Megan Jaramillo, Aaron Espinosa, Sebastian Espinosa, Fabian Espinosa, Gonzalo Munguia III, Celeste Munguia, Ximena Munguia, Anaya Gutierrez, Thalia Gutierrez, Sebastian Jasso, Cain Jasso, Andrea Martinez, Mia Martinez, Isaiah Garza, Arianna Garza, Lexani Zuniga and Catalina Zuniga; along with a host of other loved ones who will miss her dearly.
