Alyssa Ann Burkett, age 24, of Royse City, TX, passed away on October 2, 2020. She was born December 31, 1995, in Mesquite, TX, to Josh Forsyth and Teresa Ann Burkett. Alyssa was a loving mother to her daughter, Willow Ann. She had a good grasp for life and a bright future. Alyssa was strong-willed, ambitious, fiercely determined, and driven. She had many friends and she was a natural leader among them. Alyssa was well-loved among her friends and family. Her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Alyssa is survived by her daughter: Willow Ann; parents: Teresa and Chad Collard, and Josh Forsyth; sisters: Taylor Forsyth, Madison Grimes, and Nicki Collard; brothers: Landon and Tyler Collard; grandmothers: Becky Burkett, and Renda Reed; grandparents: Russell and Beckie Forsyth; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa: Larry Burkett; and great-grandparents: Jim and Betty Alcorn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at The Bridge at Lake Pointe Church, 701 E Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX 75087. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday evening at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
