Richard “Rick” Eugene Davis, age 60, and long-time resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away August 26, 2020. He was born August 31, 1959, in Dallas, TX, to Raymond R. Davis and Marjorie A. (Fuller) Davis. Rick was a member of Life Pointe Church in Terrell for 38 years where he served on the church board. He loved his family and church. Rick enjoyed fishing, and riding his Kubota tractor. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Rick is survived by his loving wife: Deborah Davis of Rockwall, TX; son: Brian Davis and wife Amber of Bessemer, AL; grandchildren: Hannah Davis, Blake Davis, Elissa Davis and Jenna Davis; mother: Marjorie Darling and husband Archie; brothers: Merle Davis and Truman Davis; sisters: Barbara Edwards, Joyce Northcutt, Lisa Wade, Esther House, and Linda Atwell; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Raymond R. Davis; and siblings: Troy Gene Davis, Travis Davis, Dianne Scott, Danny Darling, and Gloria Walker.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 10:00am, Monday, August 31, 2020, at Life Pointe Church, 1600 Griffith Avenue, Terrell, TX 75160, with Pastor Rusty Hathcock officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday evening at the church from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
