Thomas Alan Doss, 49, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. Tommy was born on October 29, 1970, in Dallas, Texas and grew up there before moving to Austin to attend the University of Texas in Austin.
Tommy was a CPA and a CFO in the Real Estate industry, and spent most of his life in Dallas, Texas. Tommy loved music, mostly from the 80s and 90s, and one of his favorite pastimes was attending live concerts. In addition to music, Tommy loved films, sports (football, tennis, basketball, soccer and baseball) and travel. Tommy loved Mexico and travel to Europe.
Tommy was happily married for 21 years to Michelle Rene Rutledge. Tommy and Michelle had known each other since Tommy was eighteen years old, and they reconnected when he was 23 and began dating immediately. Tommy and Michelle lived in Austin – their second stint in the city – with their 9 year old son, Leyton.
In addition to Michelle and their son Leyton Thomas Doss, Tommy leaves behind a brother: Kevin Doss; sister: Janna Doss; nephew: Alex Doss; niece: Madelyn Doss; and his parents, James and Kay Doss.
A memorial service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in the Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location, followed by a gathering at Anna Latta’s home at 11996 Lone Star Trail in Rockwall.
Tommy was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
