Linda Joan Maberry, age 74, of Ovilla, TX, passed away on July 29, 2020. She was born on August 30, 1945, in Celina, TX, to Jessie W. Stout and Nora May (Dennis) Stout. Linda earned her degree as an RN at Texas Women’s University. She started her career as a registered nurse in 1968, working at Parkland Hospital for seven years and the Veterans Administration Hospital for over 30 years. In her retirement, Linda also worked and volunteered at Magnificat Houses in Houston, helping to support those in need. She had a big heart and loved to help people. Linda loved flowers and treasure hunting at garage sales. She will be deeply missed.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 47 years: Joe Maberry; children: Misty Maberry and husband Scott Wilcox, and Shane Maberry; brother: Johnny Stout and wife Ellen; and sister: Janey Brandon and husband Frank. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W Pleasant Run Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Thompson Cemetery, 7000 TX-78, Nevada, TX 75173.
