Jeffrey Scott McKenzie, age 55, of Fate, TX, passed away on August 2, 2020, to be face to face with the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. He was born May 7, 1965, in Dallas, TX, to Harmon Lee McKenzie and Karen Louise (Miser) McKenzie. Jeffrey was a man of God and an ordained minister. He loved to teach and preach the Word of God and touched the hearts of those he spoke to. He was called to preach at an early age of 16 and was first ordained when he was 18 by his mentor and pastor Jess Childress, and just recently, he had renewed his ordainment to the Lord on January 21, 2018. Jeffrey adored and loved his wife, he loved his family, friends, church family, and his work family. He was a very well-respected man who loved and lived life to the fullest. His presence, smile, and boastful laugh will be deeply missed.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 7 years: Elaine McKenzie; son: Cameron McKenzie and wife Hannah; daughter: Cortney Courchesne and husband Robert; mother: Karen McKenzie; father: Harmon McKenzie; and brothers: Steve McKenzie and Kyle McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his brother: Allen McKenzie.
Private family services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
