Carolyn Lee Johnson, age 63, of Quinlan, TX, passed away on August 16, 2020. She was born August 4, 1957, in Dallas, TX, to Willis Loyd Lockridge and Jessie A. (Mills) Lockridge. She graduated in 1975 from Royse City High School, and went on to become a real estate agent in Greenville, TX. Carolyn left real estate to help run the family business for 17 years. She was a devout Christian, and member of the High Point Assembly of God Church for 32 years. Carolyn was a mentor and very involved in the church as a Sunday school teacher to the children’s ministry. She also served as Women’s ministry leader for many years. She was known as “Ninny” to her grandkids. Carolyn will be missed by those who loved her.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 45 years: Mike Johnson; sons: Joe Don Johnson and wife Cathy, and Ricky Lee Johnson and wife Robbie; grandchildren: Emma Diane Johnson, Micah Joe Johnson, Caleb Wade Johnson, Anna Lea Pecina, Seth Charles Johnson, Lucas Lee Johnson, and Hannah Grace Johnson; brothers: Bill Lloyd Lockridge and wife Francis, and Michael Allen Lockridge; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters: Brenda Lockridge, and Shirley Lockridge
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, August 21, 2020, at High Point Assembly of God Church, in Royse City, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home- Royse City Location, on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In compliance with County regulations, social distancing will be in place, with up to 25 guests at a time, and face masks required for the Thursday night gathering.
