Charles “Charlie” Ferrell born October 22, 1923, in Denton County, grew up in Dallas, Texas. He passed away peacefully, June 22, 2020, in Rockwall, Texas at age 96, where he lived with his nephew and family, Ed, Paulette, and David Coleman. Charles joined the Army on February 17, 1943, and fought in WWII in General Patton’s 3rd Army. He earned two purple hearts and fought mostly in France. Charles met the love of his life, Myrtle Cornelius, and married her on April 18, 1947. Charles worked and retired from Texas Instruments. He is survived by his sisters in law, Joyce Dempsey, Jeanette Cornelius, Connie Rogge, brother in law, Don Cornelius, several nieces and nephews, and cousin, Raymond Hawkins. Charles lived a long, fulfilled life surrounded by people that loved him and his humor.
Private graveside services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
