Lucy Lane Sharp, a 37-year resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away May 14, 2020, at the age of 89. She was born on October 6, 1930, in Jacksonville, TX, to Britton Fuller and Lela Maude (Smith) Fuller. Lucy was a member of First United Methodist Church of Garland and was married to her husband, Johnny Sharp on June 14, 1949, in Belton, TX, they were married nearly 71 years. The two met in high school in Garland. They enjoyed traveling around the U.S and going to NASCAR races. Lucy liked to watch sports and play golf and she found joy in volunteering at hospitals and schools. She dearly loved her family, children, and grandchildren.
Lucy is survived by her husband: Johnny Sharp of Rockwall, TX; children: Ricky Sharp and wife Sherry of Poetry Tx, John Edward Sharp and wife Christi of Royse City, TX, and Becky Evans and husband Gary of Rockwall, TX; and daughter-in-law: Beverly Sharp of Union Valley; grandchildren: Casey Sharp of Dallas; Kris Sharp and wife Lida of Heath, TX, Tamara Hooper and husband Scott of Poetry, Jennifer Jones of Princeton; Shanna Treffinger and husband Ben of Royse City, TX, Rachel Bragg of Austin, Taylor Sharp of Royse City, TX, Jake Evans and wife Jessy of Dallas, TX and Miranda Evans of Dallas; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: Gary Sharp; her parents; brother: Gerald Fuller; and sister: Betty Vickers.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, TX.
