Destanie Maryee΄ Rodriguez, age 36, and baby Gabriel Alexander Rodriguez passed away together on April 11, 2020. She was born December 24, 1983, in McKinney, TX. Destanie is survived by her loving husband: Jaime Rodriguez; son: Roman Stroup; daughter: Alexsi Rodriguez; and mother: Patsy Peacock. She was preceded in death by her father: Terry Don Motsenbocker.
Destanie was a woman who lit up a room. She loved passionately, cared for everyone, and would give you the shirt off her back. If someone ever came to her in need she would listen, share, and help comfort them. I really don’t think she ever met a stranger. She had an aura about her that brought you in and made you love every minute you were with her. She loved being a wife and mother more than anything in the world.
Destanie didn’t just excel socially, she was a bright woman who was determined and hard working. She had a passion for law and loved to read! Any company she worked for was grateful to have her. She worked harder than anybody and would always go the extra mile for her work and customers.
Destanie’s husband, Jaime, stated “She was the light at the end of the tunnel. On Holy Saturday the heavens opened up for her and our baby Gabriel. She was an amazing person with a heart of Gold. I never understood the phrase “the good die young” until now. She made me believe in love again and made it possible for me to see the good in people. She was definitely one of a kind. She was my best friend, a loving wife, and a mother any child would be proud to have. She will forever be loved and missed. EVERY LOVE STORY IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT OURS IS MY FAVORITE.”
The family has setup a gofundme to help pay for burial services for Destanie and Gabriel. This loss happened with no signs to let us know beforehand. Any help we can receive from her family, loved ones and friends will go directly to helping give Destanie the burial and remembrance she and Gabriel deserve. Funds are needed as soon as possible as these things can be a guessing game with new expenses coming up with every phone call. Thank you to those that loved and cared for her so dearly. She’s with Gabriel and her dad, watching over us.
