Carlos Ruiz Olivarez Obituary

Carlos Ruiz Olivarez passed away peacefully on March 10, 2020, at his home in Rowlett, TX, at the age of 70. He was born January 23, 1950, in Mathis, TX, to Magdaleno and Dominga (Ruiz) Olivarez. Carlos worked for 26 years until his retirement as an equipment operator for the Henry Company. He was married March 22, 1968, to Onelia Paiz and they shared 51 wonderful years. He attended the Catholic Church and is remembered as a loving family man and friend.

Carlos is survived by his loving wife: Onelia Olivarez of Rowlett, TX; sons: Carlos Olivarez Jr. and wife Sara Silva of Bonham, TX, and Chris Olivarez and wife Erica of Rowlett, TX; brothers: Joe Luis Olivarez of Mathis, TX, Raymundo Olivares of Skidmore, TX, Magdaleno Olivarez Jr. of Mathis, TX, and Jose Enriquez Olivarez of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters: Rosa Barrera of Uvalde, TX, Juanita Paiz of Corpus Christi, TX, and Maria Magdaleno Flores of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren: Cameron Olivarez and fiancée Adrian Brown, Cheyenne Olivarez, and Elise Olivarez; great-grandchildren: Averie Lundy and Felix Olivarez. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2020, at Sacred Heart Mausoleum Chapel with Father Danny Ramos officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will gather with friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm with a Rosary at 4:00 pm
