Levi Jackson Sparks Obituary

Levi (Josh) Jackson Sparks, 70, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 22, 2020, in Rowlett, Texas. He was born July 18, 1949, to Billy Jack and Janie Marie (Miller) Sparks in Cleburne, Texas.

On April 24, 1978, he married Linda Sparks in Durant, Oklahoma. Levi loved fishing at the coast with dad and brother, serving at Peace church, attending family reunions, letting the girls fix his hair, and eating his mama’s black-eyed peas. His hobbies included dancing, singing, playing guitar, watching football, and playing dominos.

He is survived by his brother: Dennis and his wife Brenda Sparks; son: Randall McGuire and his fiancée Christie Yarbrough; daughters: Sherry and her husband Jason Carpenter, Kristina Sparks, and Renee and her husband Michael Burden; eight grandchildren and their spouses; two great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Sparks; mother: Janie Marie Sparks; father: Billy Jack Sparks; and sister: Marilyn Sparks

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Church in Mesquite, Texas. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on February 27, 2020, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
