James “Jim” Osborn Mitchell Obituary

James “Jim” Osborn Mitchell, II, age 61, of McKinney, TX, and longtime resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away on February 9, 2020. He was born March 12, 1958, in Terrell, TX, to Owen Lee Mitchell and Helen D. (Ramsey) Mitchell. Jim was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. He was loved by everyone. Jim had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed telling jokes. He was a hard worker and was extremely good at his job in sales. Jim was an avid scuba diver, in his free time. He will be missed deeply by everyone who loved him.

Jim is survived by his sons: James Andrew Mitchell, and Dillon Edward Mitchell and wife Danielle; mother of Dillon Mitchell: Cheryl Mitchell; mother of James Andrew Mitchell: Diedra Sutton; sisters: Sandra Lee Wilson, and Linda Mitchell Durán and husband Samuel; granddaughter: Blair Mitchell; niece: Clarisa Durán Lindenmeyer and husband Matthew; nephew: Samuel F. Durán and wife Crystal, and Phillip Lee Durán and wife Brianna; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Louise Mitchell; and nephew: Joseph Mitchell Lindsey.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
