Suzie Alene Penry Obituary

Suzie Alene Penry, age 85 of Rowlett, TX, passed away December 30, 2019. She was born August 29, 1934, in Lamar County, TX, to James A. and Sudie Mae (Hunt) Nichols. Suzie was a member of New Life Church in Garland and is remembered by her many friends and family as loving and kind. She worked many years as a certified nursing assistant.

Suzie is survived by children: Georgeie Golson of Garland, TX, Joseph Penry of Rowlett, TX, Paula and Duane Colegrove of Rowlett, TX, and David and Deanna Penry of Talladega, AL; sister: Mary Mantooth of Deport, TX; brothers: Sam Nichols, Aaron and Mariam Nichols, Paul and Betty Nichols, Thomas and Natalie Nichols all of Deport, TX; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Husband George Penry in 1998, daughters Suzie Jean and Mary Ruth Penry.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, January 6, 2020, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Location. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. There will be a gathering of family and friends before the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
