Ruth Ann Fitzwater, age 73, of Nevada, TX, passed away on January 9, 2020. She was born November 13, 1946, in Sewickley, PA, to Charles David Burk, Jr. and Ethel (Whited) Burk. Ruth attended Quaker Valley High School. She was a manager at 7-Eleven on Kaufman Street for over 25 years. Ruth was a collector of sporting cards and a huge fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. She was involved in the Rockwall Citizen Academy Alumni Association, Crime Stoppers, and L.E.S.C. Ruth loved her family dearly. Ruth was also a member of Faith Family Church in Nevada, TX. She will be missed deeply by everyone who loved her.
Ruth is survived by her daughter: Diana Webb & husband Jerry of Carrollton, TX; sons: John Fitzwater & wife Angela of Hunt County, TX, and Ray Fitzwater & wife Jana of Nevada, TX; grandchildren: Joshua Webb and wife Rebecca of Carrollton, TX; Caleb Webb of Carrollton, TX, and Jordan and Emma-Leigh Fitzwater of Nevada, TX; great-grandchild: Sadie Webb; brother: Rev. Ken & wife Sandra Burk of Zebulon, GA; and niece and nephew: Sylvia Bakoledis of Griffin, GA, and Kenneth Burk Jr. of Toccoa, GA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Fitzwater, Sr.; and her parents.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
