Ron Bauer Obituary

Ron Bauer traded his earthly life for an eternal one in heaven on January 9, 2020 just before turning 60. He is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus with all the saints gone on before.
Ron never met a stranger and always left an unforgettable impression even in elevators where he loudly announced “how’s the gang today!”. Aptly put by a dear friend, he had movie star good looks and more charisma than Cary Grant. He loved life and lived it to the fullest as best as he could.
His passions included scuba diving, snow skiing and motorcycle riding. He and Jeannie rode with the Lake Pointe Riders for several years sharing the love of God with others through the joy of riding. His favorite passion was scuba diving; Ron and Jeannie traveled the world diving in what they call God’s aquarium seeing unimaginable sights. Most of all he loved taking the whole family on vacations from when there was 4 of them to now 10 of them. The highlight vacation was snow skiing with everyone and he couldn’t stop talking about being there to see his grandchildren learn to ski and how much they loved it.
Ron was blessed in business largely because he treated customers and colleagues like family. He is leaving behind innumerable people in the oil and gas industry who count him as respected colleague and good friend.
Ron was a member of Lake Pointe church and the MOB Boss in Charlie Jones Life Group! Don’t worry—this means coordinator of Men’s Only Breakfast (MOB) to fellowship and share their love for the Lord. He was ready to serve wherever needed, generous to a fault, always had laughter to light up the room and most recently has been an inspiration to the class and all he met by the joy he shared knowing he would be meeting his Savior sooner rather than later and residing in heaven.
Ron was a member of the Gild of Ancient Supplers, PADI Master Diver and PADI Dive Master.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jeannie Bauer; daughter, Rachel Tonick and husband, Grant Tonick; son, Luke Leamons and wife Natalie Leamons; grandchildren, Ava Tonick, Nolan Tonick, Wally Leamons, Allie Leamons; his sister, Lorrie Mininger and husband Robert Mininger; nephew, Dylan Mininger and Paige Twitchell; niece, Kyla McKeown and husband Patrick McKeown.
Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Karen Kay Thomas and grandparents, Harry and Marie Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 17, 2019, Lake Pointe Church-The Bridge, 701 E Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX 75087. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church before the service, beginning at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend.
