Martha Kleerekoper Obituary

May Martha (Doskoch) Kleerekoper, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2020 in Rockwall, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Demko and Zophia Doskoch. She is survived by her children Susan Douglass (Craig), Karen Madaras, and Quinn (Janet), her grandchildren Brady, Emily, Madelyn, Gerrit and Andrew.

May was born on March 3, 1934 in Honeymoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. She moved with her family to Houston, Texas in 1968. She was a laboratory technician and enjoyed spending time with her patients. Her family was the center of her life. She was an excellent gardener and baker. May always made the time to have home cooked meals for her family, including fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden. Dessert was usually one of her delicious made from scratch pies. She also had a beautiful voice, and you could find her singing every morning. Academics was very important to May, and she made sure all of her children received a college education. She kept busy with their school events and activities. After she retired, she spent time caring for her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Senior Care at Lake Pointe in Rockwall for their care and dedication over the last several years.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 1:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas
