Ada Lena (Jensen) Mooney, age 74, of Lavon, TX, passed away on January 20, 2020. She was born June 20, 1945, in Atlanta Georgia, to Floyd James Jensen and Geneva Mae (Hilliard) Jensen. Ada was a member of the Rockwall Free Methodist Church. She was a socialite and very active in her community and church. Ada was an officer in the Wylie Education Foundation, Red Hat Society, Rockwall Historical Club, Wylie Lyons Club, RC Lyons Club, Genealogical Club, and many more clubs. Above all, Ada was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always willing to help. She left an impact on many people. Ada was a beautiful soul. She will be missed deeply.
Ada is survived by her loving husband of 42 years: Robert Mooney; children: Russell Mooney and wife Tracy, Lena Mooney, and James Mooney and wife Amanda; grandchildren: Nikki Klosterman and husband Zach, Gunner Mooney, Cassandra Mooney, and Mason Mooney; great-grandchildren: Harmony, Lylah, and Brensin; brothers: Merrill and Kenneth Jensen; sisters: Shirley Pool and Evelyn Silva; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of Ada’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
