Roosevelt “Art” Garner Burnett Obituary

Roosevelt “Art” Garner Burnett, age 87, of Rowlett, TX, passed away on December 17, 2019. He was born July 12, 1932, in Madisonville, KY, to Winfield Burnett and Floy Frances (Crabtree) Burnett.

Art is survived by his daughter: Susan Camilleri and husband Raymond, and granddaughter Jennifer Camilleri and grandson, Andrew; son: Rex G. Burnett and wife Carron, and granddaughters Hannah Tucker and husband Andrew, Hayden Burnett, Hailee Burnett, Holliann Burnett, and grandson, Hunter Burnett; son: Timothy P. Burnett and wife Melissa, and grandchildren Timothy Burnett, Jr., and Tyler Burnett and wife Elizabeth, great-grandchildren Walter and Emerson, grandson Trey Burnett; son: Joseph M. Burnett and wife Lori, grandson Noah Burnett and wife Chloe, grandchildren Abigail, Olivia, Caleb, Luke, and Seth Burnett; and sister: Mary Jane Smith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Peggy (Beckner) Burnett, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location, with Dr. Gary Coleman and Reverend David Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm.
