Just two hours after coming into the world, Memphis Edward Bunch passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms at the Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas. During that brief time, he was able to touch the lives of his brothers, Jonathan and Jameson, and to be surrounded by love.
Memphis was born almost five weeks early, at 5:08 A.M., and was followed by his sister Charlotte Lynn Bunch only two minutes later, at 5:10 A.M. Weighing 4 pounds, 7 ounces, and at 16 and three-quarters inches, Memphis had plenty of brown hair and the “King ears” his Nana proclaimed were from her side. Memphis survived until 7:03 A.M. while being held in his mother’s arms. He had been held and felt the love of his two older brothers, Jonathan (7), and Jameson (2).
Memphis joins his grandmother, Tracy Lyons; his grandfather, Delbert Lyons; and his great-grandmother, Ophelia Bunch, in heaven. He is survived by his mother and father, Houston and Erin Bunch; his brothers, Jonathan and Jameson Bunch; his sister Charlotte Bunch; his grandparents, Mike and Linda Bunch; and his Uncles, Jonathan Bunch, Lee Barry, and Darrel Lyons.
A graveside burial service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 11 A.M. Memphis will be laid down close to his great grandmother, who was affectionately called Nanny.
Flowers and condolences may be sent to 2500 Hwy 66 East, Rockwall, TX 75087. The family would like to thank the hospital and staff at Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas for their dedication and efforts.
