It is time for the 5th annual Hawk Cross Country Reindeer Run! We have the best race shirts around and Santa will be there so you can get a holiday high five! The race will be held at Heath High school and the 5K course will wind through areas close to Heath. This is a fun, family event that is pet friendly and judgement free. We will have a mile fun run for all ages and a chip-timed 5K race. Registration is open NOW and new this year is a discount entry for groups 3+. There will be many categories for prizes- Most spirited group and individual, best holiday costumed pet, age group race medals and a huge prize table where you pick your prize. Join the Rockwall-Heath High School Cross Country team as they host their 5th Annual 5K Run and 1mile Fun Run on Saturday, December 14, 2019. The 1 Mile Fun Run will kick off at 8:30am; the 5K will start at 9:00am to ensure the course is clear.
Come out to run a fast out and back 5K course starting and ending on the RHHS campus and through Heath neighborhood streets. This is a festive and fun run- so show up dressed in the spirit of the season. Friendly, leashed dogs are also welcome to participate. Awards are always given to our most festive human and canine runners.
*** New for 2019 *** We want to encourage team registrations, so create a team during sign up, invite others to join your team, and your 5K registration fee is $20 per person when three or more participants join your team. Top teams will be recognized based on times as well as theme/costume. *** Also be sure to share your unique referral code via email, text and social media. After 5 people register using your unique link, you receive a $20 refund on your 5K entry!
Our fantastic sponsors will be on campus to serve up hot chocolate, coffee, donuts, face painting and crafts after the race while we tally up the award winners. 5K Awards for top male and female overall runner, as well as awards for the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. This year we are featuring the one and only White Elephant Prize Table- you don’t want to miss this!
5K and Couch Potato registrations include a long-sleeve t-shirt. All 1 Mile Fun Run and 5K finishers will receive a unique race medal. Shirts must be picked up at packet pickup or on race day. You may have someone pick up on your behalf; please provide them with a copy of your receipt and verification.
Not available on 12/14 or out of town? The Couch Potato option is for you! You’ll receive a race shirt and support this fantastic team towards their goal without having to wake up early and run.
