Cullins-Lake Pointe ES fifth graders recently brought the Colonial Era and America’s first free enterprise system to life for parents, CLP learners and community members at Colonial Night.
They began the evening by singing songs on the town square then opened their shops for business as they talked about their trades in the first person. They researched their topics, made their own props, decorated their shops and created business cards.
The learners wore period costumes and sold the wares that they made to their customers. The donations that they collected will be given to Patriot PAWS to help disabled American Veterans.
