Body of deceased female found in Lake Lavon

This afternoon at approximately 1:55pm, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Wylie Police Department regarding a body found floating in the Lavonia Park area of Lake Lavon.

CCSO investigators and crime scene personnel responded to the scene where they recovered a deceased female from the scene.

The deceased was transported to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office for autopsy.

Identification of the deceased is pending the notification of next of kin.
