Marion Albright, 89, of Lawton, OK, passed from this life surrounded by her family on October 11, 2019. Having been born in Duke, OK, in 1930, she was a longtime resident of Lawton, OK, until moving to Rockwall, TX, in 2013 to be near family. Marion was an elementary school teacher in Lawton until her retirement in 1992. She was an avid reader, especially of WWII history, having read the complete set of Winston Churchill’s Diaries, among many other historical documents. In addition to reading, she was an accomplished Brazilian embroiderer and her works are now proudly displayed on pillows in her family’s homes. Marion was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Lawton, OK. She will be missed by her family, friends, and former students still on Earth as she joins her family in heaven.
Marion is survived by her daughter: Dianne Knight and husband Kenny; granddaughter: Staci Hiberd and husband Michael; two greatgrandchildren: Cameron and Mackenzie; sisters: Margaret Beck, Bernice Pearson and husband Jack, and Barbara Moeller-Garlow; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by husband: Emmett O. Albright; son: Robert W. Albright; and sister: Juanita Ritter.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
