Doris Mae Brown Obituary

Doris Mae Brown passed away on October 9, 2019, in Rockwall, Texas, at the age of 85. “Dody” was born on October 21, 1933, in Faribault, Minnesota. She was the consummate mother and homemaker and beloved matriarch of her family.

She is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, her loving children from her first marriage to Donald Rasmussen (deceased): Christine David and husband David, Janet Hargrave and husband George, Michael Rasmussen and wife Delila, Mark Rasmussen and wife Beatrice; sister, Trish Sunday; sisters-in-law, Elena Rollinger and Karen Rollinger. She leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Anna Rollinger, and siblings Robert Rollinger, Gerald Rollinger, and Marilyn Sorem. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Don Brown.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, at 10:00 AM, in Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall location. Graveside services are private.
