Stop the Bleed is a national campaign to encourage all people to be trained to intervene in a bleeding emergency before help arrives.
An injury can happen anywhere – at home, work, school, shopping, playing – Stop the Bleed was developed so that laypeople can take action in between the time that an injury occurs and emergency help arrives. Bystanders can make the difference in saving a life when minutes matter.
This class gives instruction on applying a tournaquet, applying pressure or packing wounds. Real life scenarios and examples are given to demonstrate how items found around you might help save a life. At the end of class we will provide CPR demonstration.
The next event will be held October 22 at 6:30pm.
