Wanda Rease (Samples) Cain, Age 83, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2019. She was born March 27, 1936, in Lone Oak, Texas, to Carl Lee Samples and Ruby Hixby (Wright) Samples. Wanda was a prayer warrior; faithful to the Lord and dedicated to her family. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her Bible, and she was a celebrated cook.
Throughout her life, Wanda was a caretaker for many. She cared for her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, and where her ability to physically care ended, her intercession began. Only God knows how many prayers Wanda Cain has whispered for her beloved family.
Dishes that will be missed are her famous chocolate pudding, banana pudding, sweet tea, macaroni and cheese (with tomato sauce), tomato soup and grilled cheese, her tacos, peanut butter and syrup sandwiches, her chili, green beans, turkey dressing, ham dressing, cream potatoes, homemade rolls, and many more…because in those dishes was a taste of her love for her family and that is truly what will be missed the most.

Cain; daughters: Joan Anita Cain Helge, and Donna Sue Rushing and spouse Joe; sons: Alan Matthew Cain and spouse Laura, and David Owen Cain and spouse Tammy; grandchildren: Amanda Helge, Nicholas Helge and spouse Jennifer, Anissa Helge, Anita Helge, Brian Rushing and spouse Chanel, Tiffany Nichols and spouse Daniel, Cody Green and spouse Megan, Brandon Green and spouse Andrea, Marjorie McCord and spouse Ronny, Ethan Cain and spouse Carissa, Steven Hines, and James David Cain; twenty-four great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and good friends who will miss Wanda dearly.
